Registered-nurse owned
The Pilgrim is owned and managed by Wahito “Rachel” Gikaru, a Registered Nurse with a BSN and more than 40 years of experience in acute care. Rachel lives in the home, so residents are looked after by an experienced nurse day and night, not a rotating roster of strangers.
That closeness is the whole idea. With just five residents, care is personal and unhurried — meals, routines, and activities shaped around the people who live here, not the other way around.
The home
An open-concept country home designed so residents can move freely and always feel close to the heart of the house.
All on the first floor for step-free living, three with their own private bathrooms.
ADA wheelchair-accessible throughout, with an open layout for safe, easy mobility.
The home runs on a standby generator so residents stay safe and warm through any power outage.
Each room includes its own cable TV and phone line, so staying connected is simple.
A large living room and sun-filled kitchen open onto sitting areas with clear views throughout.
Well-kept grounds, trees full of birds and hummingbirds, and a greenhouse to sit, swing, and soak in the sun.
